Ode for David and Doreen

Fifty years o’ wedded bliss
To think it started with a kiss
It hasn’t been a day too long
Had I the time I’d sing a song

Instead of that I wrote these lines
To wish you both in future times
The very best that life can give
My humble verse you must forgive

For Davy and Doreen here’s all the best
I’ll stop and grant your ears a rest
A very happy Golden Anniversary
